Building 100 Tools in 1,000 Days

🏄‍♂️ What I Learned This Week...

Howdy!

Every week I share the business projects I’m working on — the goal is for you to be able to take action from what I’m learning! I’m excited to hang out with you and 5,536 5,583 other box destroyers today!

I’m asked what tools I use in my business. Here’s my tool list, AI tool list, and money-making ideas to help you with your income stream building. Reply to this email and ask me anything - happy to help. A note: I always use referral links when I have them. I will make a commission if you purchase through the links, so thanks!

Read Time: 5 minutes.

Yes, I’ve decided to build 100 pieces of software or tools over the next 1,000 days.

That’s almost 3 years.

Just over a tool per week.

I think it’s totally doable.

I wrote more details in this post below…

I’m counting all of the tools I started building at the beginning of this year.

I’m making a tool to track my subscriptions, track my credit cards, lay out my goals, and on and on.

I started this doc to share them all — send me your ideas, and maybe I’ll make it!

Oh, and if you missed last week, I own a campervan as my daily driver (I traveled around New Zealand 20 years ago in a van, so the van takes me down memory lane).

I took a trip to the northwest part of my state.

There is something freeing about not knowing where your next stop will be, figuring out where you’ll sleep, etc.

I even got to visit the Rattlesnake Salloon (a restaurant under a cliff edge) — pretty cool! For giggles, here are some photos from my trip if you want to see.

I got a bit of remote work done, but also plenty of time just to think.

And yes, I came up with more online tools that I will be building 🤣🤣

How I’m Using AI this Week…

Well, now that you know my plan is to build 100 tools (or die trying) over the next 1,000 days, I better get to it!

This past week, I actually made the rough draft for a super simple podcast editor — all you have to do is drop in audio files for an intro, the main content, and outro and the tool combines them — I even set it up with its very own domain! You can see it live at EasyPodcastEditor.com— I’ll polish it up in the coming weeks.

I also started building out a simple recurring email tool (a tool I need every now and then, but haven’t found a good solution for…)

Here’s more about that project.

Now, a quick note from an email sponsor… clicking and visiting their site helps me continue creating and sharing in this newsletter, so thanks!

I’ve recently moved over to Mercury after getting fed up with PNC. I’m pumped with them so far. And if you open an account and move over enough cash, we both get a $250 bonus! Feel free to ask me questions about my experience so far.

Domain Name Flipping [Update]

Ok, using GoHighLevel, I’ve set up some outbound campaigns.

I got my first offer for one of my domains!

I turned down the $1k offer as I think it’s worth a minimum of $2k.

We’ll see - I’ll keep you posted.

The offer was on one of the real estate domain names that I just picked up.

They’re connected to certain cities in the US.

I used Outscraper to pull a list of some of the top real estate agents in those cities.

Then I sent a very personalized message.

I’ll keep you posted!

Plus, buying more names will help me with content in the DomainNameLovers.com group.

PS - you can see most of my domains for sale here.

Amazon Influencer Program [Update]

I just made a few new videos (I got paid $50 by a brand to make them and I recorded a few extra).

Note: I’ve made the decision to give all of my community (you!) my best tips I’ve learned at no cost. Enjoy!

I haven’t made any videos in months.

I’ve now crossed $4k in total earnings.

I have 127 131 videos.

(plus 75 videos from other creators..)

My total earnings equal $3,901.23 $4,247.55

After expenses, I’m making $85.35 $96.02 per hour.

But the real O.G. is my buddy Jared Bauman, who has made more than $40,000 per year with Amazon Influencer in his part time (that’s a salary for some folks!) — he shares all his knowledge in his course.

If you want to learn more about Amazon Influencer, an overview of the program is here, and my first update is here.

(If you want, you can check each weekly update. I’ve come a long way from $2.81 per hour!)

📰 Local Newsletter [Update]

I’m moving forward with CitySpark that will help us streamline our event creation.

I’m in the setup process….

Their cost is $150 setup + $150/mo.

My team spends hours per week manually finding events to add to our calendar.

We pay $149 per year for the plugin.

I think my costs will even out, and I can see if this makes our workflow faster and with less friction.

I’ll keep you posted!

[These are ideas we share over in the Local Media Crew if you ever want to join us!]

Other projects I’ll update over time (or provide future updates) include…

Also, if you like my newsletter, here are others you may want to check out…

Want to link up for a consulting call? If so, I’d love to book some time with you — you can do that here.

Until next time!

Don’t just think outside the box — keep destroying that box 😉
